The Triple*AR challenge: 7 weeks, 3 institutes, 3 scales, 3 challenges!

As we are finding ourselves in the midst of the 5th industrial revolution, we have united, driven by a mutual passion to explore, develop and bring to life the powers of the digital realm for our profession. Innovative design tools provide possibilities that reach far beyond BIM and parametric design. With Augmented Reality (AR) the virtual and real are merging allowing you to work and collaborate at real life 1:1 scale. However, this also means that the spectrum of skills needed for our work as architects is evolving and expanding.

The Triple*AR challenge will give you the opportunity to dive into this new world and master three challenges in the fields of engineering, construction and urban design. What they all have in common is the application of AR. The winning teams will be announced at an open symposium focusing on the discussion and development of integrated digital workflows in architectural design and construction processes.

This joint course is offered by the Institute for Structural Design (ITE), Institute of Construction Design, Industrial and Healthcare Building (IKE) and Institute for Sustainable Urbanism (ISU).

REGISTRATION

The enrolment via the semester program is considered an expression of interest (registering at one of the involved institutes is sufficient). Triple*AR Challenge participants will be selected based on a short digital application (.pdf / 1 x DIN A4 letter of motivation), which we ask you to submit to spacelab-isu@tu-braunschweig.de until 11.11.2022. Selection of participants will take place on 15.11.2022
